What a Featuring Nomination is
Featuring Nominations are a feature Apple announced at WWDC 2026 for game developers. Through the Apple Games app, you propose plans for an in-game offer or a limited-time discount to Apple's App Store editorial team for consideration. If the team chooses to feature your proposal, you can pick from three new In-App Event badge types when configuring the event:
- In-Game Offer
- Now On Sale
- Try Before You Buy
It is coming this summer on the Games app in the United States, with additional regions and storefronts rolling out over time.

Games, on the Apple Games app. This is not a mechanism for non-game apps.
How it relates to offers
A Featuring Nomination is about editorial featuring of an offer, not the offer mechanics themselves. The discount or trial is still built with In-App Purchase tools (promotional offers, offer codes, In-App Events). The nomination ties that offer to a shot at visibility on the Games app, which is the scarce resource for most game developers.
Pricing note
Like any discount, a featured in-game offer is only as valuable as the base price it discounts in each market. A 30% off promotion on a coin pack that was never localized still reads as expensive where the base price was a raw currency conversion.
Examples
A weekend sale, featured
A game proposes a "Now On Sale" promotion: 30% off its premium coin pack for a weekend. It submits the plan through Featuring Nominations in the Apple Games app. If Apple's editorial team features it, the In-App Event carries a Now On Sale badge on the Games app, putting the discount in front of players who were not already searching for the game.
The featuring is the prize. The discount mechanics (the actual price) are configured separately, and convert best when the underlying per-country price already fits the market.
